Primary Insurance
The Primary Insurance section appears if the 
 Bill Type is set to Third Party.

	
	- When creating an order for a new patient the Primary 
 Insurance section will be blank. Use the search button to search for 
 an insurance. 
- When creating an order for an existing patient, the 
 Primary Insurance section will show the insurance that was last 
 used. To select another insurance payer or to change the information for 
 a payer see To Select an Insurance.

	- If this is a new patient or there are no payers saved 
 for the patient, click the binoculars next to the Insurance Code 
 field to search for an insurance.
- To use an insurance that has been previously used 
 for the patient, click the Select button.
 
 If any payers have been previously 
 used for the patient the Select Insurance window appears with a 
 list of payers to select from.
	
	- Enter the Policy/ID number.
- Next, complete the Relationship of the insured 
 to the patient by selecting a value from the drop down list or entering 
 a letter followed by the Enter key.
 
 If Self is selected, the fields 
 are populated with the insured's demographic information.  The 
 insured's data is not editable.
If the insured party has the same address 
 as the patient, check the small box under Relationship. This will 
 complete the address information. You only have to enter the insured person's 
 name.
